1965 US Military Jeep Willy  M-38A1 Tribute to Our Fallen and Wounded Soldiers

"
Our fallen soldiers deserve greater respect and honor than they receive, for they accepted a mission so we can enjoy the freedom we know today. Although they never knew our names still they bravely accepted the task losing their lives for us.

Presenting our attempt in remembering those brave soldiers and with solemn gratitude this is our tribute to all who have given their lives, been severely injured for our freedoms and are presently serving in our military."

Because the military jeeps were such nimble beasts mounting guns on them transformed them into formidable weapons. Early versions had a .50-caliibur machine gun mounted on a monopod behind the front seats. The jeep's tough suspension had no problem with the heavy guns and ammunition on board.

After the Vietnam War U.S. Military vehicles were once again left behind.
Serviceable equipment was incorporated in the former North Vietnamese Air Force, Army and Navy.
Samples of some equipment were placed in museums. There were also those abandoned in remote regions.
The balance has been re-cycled and scrapped.

Picture
This collectible bares historically correct U.S. Army badging.

DreamSuperCars commissioned an exact resin replica of a M2 Browning .50 caliber machine gun with a  removable traveling gun mount to be built into the design of this vehicle.

The gun is so realistic that after it was completed it was shown to a retired Army General who graciously offered to break it down and to clean it for us if need be. The General was in impressed with the detail that went into its creation and was in awe after he was told that it was not a fully operational machine gun.
